🎬 ACTORS: Where are you looking? 👀
When you’re filming a self-tape remember:
👉 The camera lens is your audience.
If the scene (or slate) calls for you to speak directly to the viewer, look into the lens, not at your face on the screen.
It’s tempting to watch yourself while you’re performing, but even a small shift in your eyeline can make it look like you’re avoiding eye contact.
📱 Quick tip: Before you hit record, identify exactly which lens is being used. Put a tiny piece of tape or a sticker next to it if you need a visual reminder.
When you look into that lens, the person watching feels like you’re looking right at them.
Connection matters. Your eyes tell the story. 🎭
