If relationships were stocks, the right ones would be a 100X investment. That’s what they’ve been in my life.

In 2022, I shared my story on Earn Your Leisure. That relationship helped open doors for me to expand my business across the United States, write a book, and speak on hundreds of podcasts and panels. One opportunity became a relationship that’s still paying dividends.

Thank you to these brothers for allowing me to share my story and for helping change the culture around financial literacy, ownership, and wealth.

Their book, Get Rich with Relationships, comes out in January 2027, and I’ve experienced firsthand what that title means.

They’ll also be right here in Detroit for Hoops for Culture, October 23–24! Let’s show up and show them love. 💯

Sometimes the fastest way forward is to share what you have today.

Sweat equity recognizes the value of people’s work, skills, and commitment—not just their money. Because owning 100% of nothing takes you nowhere, while owning 50% of something growing can take you much further.

The potential is already within you. Think bigger, build together, and give others a reason to grow alongside you.

Money in the bank means nothing if you can’t walk to the bathroom on your own. Chase the bag—but make sure your body is healthy enough to enjoy it.

Take care of yourself. Your health is the one investment you can’t afford to ignore.

Today is the first day of school in the City of Detroit.

To every kid walking through those doors this morning — I see you. I was you.

When I was growing up in Detroit, a neighbor named Mr. Johnson paid me a dollar for every bag of litter I picked up off the block. I thought I was just earning pocket money. Really, he was teaching me the first lesson that changed my life:

The inches we need are everywhere around us.

Opportunity isn't somewhere far away. It's in the desk you sit at today. It's in the teacher who stays late to help you. It's in the kid next to you who could become your business partner one day. It's in the problems nobody else wants to solve.

Mr. Johnson showed me that if you look around your own neighborhood and find something worth fixing, you've already started.

So here's my challenge to every Detroit student today:

Look around. What needs fixing? What could be better? What do you see that everyone else walks past?

That's where your future starts. Not in some far-off place. Right there. In your school. On your block. In your own two hands.

I went from picking up litter for a dollar a bag to building a multi-million dollar business. Same city. Same mindset. Same lesson.

You'll see it when you believe it.

I don’t always stop to celebrate my wins. Most times, I just keep my head down and move on to the next thing.

But I’m learning that every win deserves a moment — because when something is celebrated, it becomes more likely to be replicated.

This honor means a lot to me. Thank you to everyone who voted for me, supported me, believed in me, and continues to speak life into my journey.

Not because it was easy — but because you never stopped believing.
