David previously served as our Executive Director of Access and Crisis, where he helped expand critical services and strengthen clinical pathways for individuals and families in Jackson and Hillsdale Counties.

A Marine Corps veteran with more than 15 years of experience in mental health counseling, policy development, and program management, David brings strong clinical leadership to this role. He holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Siena Heights University and is deeply committed to improving mental health access and outcomes in our community.

We are excited for the leadership and vision David brings to this role as he guides the strategic direction of LifeWays’ clinical operations.

📌 Required: Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Family & Marriage Therapy, or Psychology with full Michigan licensure

🎓 Preferred:
• Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) or Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC).
• CIT Train the Trainer Certification.
• Board certified in the respective field of counseling through the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC), or completion of Clinical Advanced Practice Specialty Credentials identified through the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
• Certification in a Licensing Supervision Training course, which includes standards of practice.
