TOMORROW, MAY 13 — In addition to our Workforce Wednesday at the Detroit at Work Collingwood Career Center (inside Durfee Innovation Society), two local partners will have additional opportunities onsite.

Our partners at the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services will host a Lead Abatement Info Session, starting at 1 p.m., where you can find out how to become a certified lead professional who's qualified to work on lead abatement projects. Detroit at Work is hosting a special support session for impacted Detroit-based Spirit Airlines employees and subsidiary staff who may need assistance with their Unemployment Insurance Agency (UIA) claims.

The UIA helps provide temporary financial assistance and support resources for eligible workers experiencing job loss or reduced employment.

UIA representatives will be on-site to answer questions and provide assistance.
