Meet Khup, one of the incredible women on our SHINE team. And congratulate her, because she is officially a United States citizen! 🇺🇸

We got to stand beside Khup at her citizenship ceremony, and it's a day none of us will forget. Watching a member of our own team reach a milestone she worked so hard for, surrounded by people cheering her on, is about as good as it gets.

Khup came to Iowa from Burma, and her story is one of determination from every angle. She's raising two daughters. She's building her English, one conversation at a time, and working with our team has helped those skills blossom. Through all of it, she's been amazed, in her own words, by the power women hold here, and she's determined to give her girls every opportunity she never had.

Anyone who's worked alongside Khup will tell you the same things about her. Quick. Energetic. Funny. The kind of teammate who makes everyone around her better just by showing up.

Last month, Cindy and Caryn volunteered with Des Moines Refugee Support at the Grants Back to School Free Store, helping local refugee families get ready for the new school year.

Not every home we clean is a house in the suburbs. 🌾

Some are farmhouses. Some are lofts downtown. Some have three kids, four pets, and a kitchen that sees a lot of action. We love that no two look alike, and that we get to show up for all of them the same way, with care, consistency, and people who love what they do.
