Nu Chapter was established on May 15, 1917 at Millikin Conservatory of Music. This chapter was chartered by fourteen female students and initiated such members as former Sigma Alpha Iota presidents Mrs. Nu chapter initiated Esther Requarth, the author of the Sigma Alpha Iota Symphony.
