Safety Specialist - Day Shift - $24/Hour

HireQuest Direct is hiring a temporary Safety Specialist for a steel building er****on project in Palm Coast, Florida. This position will support the project team by monitoring jobsite safety, attending safety meetings, and serving as a point of contact for safety-related concerns. The er****on crew is highly experienced with steel buildings, so this role will focus on oversight, communication, and maintaining compliance with site safety requirements.
Duties:
Attend daily safety meetings and communicate important information to project management and the on-site superintendent.
Monitor jobsite activities to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
Identify, document, and report safety concerns, hazards, and near-miss incidents.
Conduct routine safety observations and inspections throughout the workday.
Help correct unsafe conditions and behaviors when identified.
Maintain safety documentation and records as required by the project.
Promote a safe work environment and support compliance with customer and contractor safety requirements.
Requirements:
Previous construction safety experience preferred.
Ability to recognize and address jobsite safety hazards.
Strong communication and reporting skills.
Ability to attend and participate in required safety meetings.
Experience working around steel building er****on projects is preferred.
Familiarity with pre-engineered metal building construction is a plus.
Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and construction safety practices is preferred.
Ability to walk active construction sites and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Must wear all required PPE, including a hard hat, safety glasses, high-visibility vest, work boots, and gloves as required by the site.
Reliable transportation to the jobsite.
