The ideal candidate for the Controller position will be independently driven, with strong skills in managing the accounting system and building a team. The Controller will assist in the fiscal management of the business and profitability analyses. The position will require both an eye for detail to effectively manage the day to day back office operations of the business and the ability to help provide strategic information to assist in the growth of the company.

Key duties will include:
• Overall responsibility for the financial
reporting and fiscal management of
business
• Lead financial and accounting resource
in the implementation of a project
accounting system
• Responsible for month end closing
process
• Review on a weekly/monthly basis the
revenues and expenses of the business
to identify trends
• Troubleshoot billing issues
• Identify process improvement
opportunities and coordinate with IT
department on design and
implementation
• Assist in the development of reporting
tools to enhance business decisions
including key performance indicators
for sales, asset utilization, labor
statistics, and ultimately return on
capital.
• Provide information related to the
annual audit
• Key reports include staff accountant
and billing clerk
• Substantial coordination with accounts
payable, credit, IT, tax, Fuel Tax, fixed
assets, and corporate accounting
• PDI experience is a plus

Requirements
• 4-year college degree in Accounting
