A résumé can tell you where someone worked.
It cannot tell you whether that person is ready to own your role.
Before the first interview, you still need context:
1. Role fit — Can the candidate connect prior work to the outcome this role must own?
2. Communication — Can they explain relevant work clearly instead of repeating a résumé line?
3. Working reality — Do compensation, availability, hours, time-zone overlap, and tools fit both sides?
4. Remote readiness — Is the work environment appropriate for the role?
5. Verification — Has identity been reviewed as an additional trust signal?
None of these fields makes the decision for you.
Using the same fields for every candidate makes the tradeoffs visible before interview time is spent.
