One of the biggest reasons great clubs struggle to hire great leaders is simple: the best candidates usually aren’t in the market.

Top-performing general managers, chefs and department heads are typically thriving where they are. They’re not scanning job boards or responding to postings. That means traditional recruiting methods often miss the people who could make the biggest impact.

This is where relationships matter more than reach. The most successful searches are built through consistent engagement, long-term networks and understanding what might actually motivate a leader to make a move before they ever raise their hand.

Bob brings over four decades of experience in private club golf, including 34 years as Head Golf Professional and Director of Golf at Northwood Club in Dallas — one of Texas' premier private clubs. A student of Harvey Penick alongside Ben Crenshaw and Tom Kite, his career reflects a deep commitment to the game, the profession, and the people in it.

His accomplishments speak for themselves: five Byron Nelson Championship appearances, the 2001 Northern Texas PGA Professional Championship, NTPGA Golf Professional of the Year, and service on the PGA of America Board of Directors. Under his leadership, 18 assistant professionals advanced to Head Professional or Director of Golf roles, and his fundraising efforts generated over $2 million for junior golf and charitable causes.

In his new role, Bob will advise on golf professional searches nationwide and provide consulting on pro shop management and golf operations.
