To accomplish this goal, Security Forces specialists go through extensive training in law enforcement and combat tactics to protect bases both stateside and overseas. A job that’s both physically and mentally demanding, these highly focused experts do everything from writing tickets to investigating on-base incidents to make sure everyone and everything on every base is protected.

It’s the responsibility of Munitions Systems specialists to manage all aspects of nonnuclear munitions processes. Responsible for air traffic and warning radar systems, and fixed and deployable navigational aids, weather equipment and radios, Radar, Airfield & Weather Systems specialists ensure that the equipment utilized by air traffic controllers and pilots is in perfect working order. These specialists install and maintain everything from air traffic control and weather equipment to ground control and navigational aids to ensure aircraft can be safely guided through takeoff and landing.

GEOSPATIAL INTELLIGENCE

Some of our most critical intelligence comes from keen eyes spotting miniscule details in aerial imagery. Responsible for analyzing imagery from satellites, remotely piloted vehicles and other sources, Geospatial Intelligence specialists discern what is normal and what could be a threat. We met on the craziest tip. 😂 Daniel was a walk-in at my office who had just moved to Mississippi. He started his enlistment process in Dallas & stopped by to see if he could get some additional information. I was able to assist & we’ve been locked in ever since. 🤞🏾Daniel did what most people don’t…attended an IFT for Special Warfare & KILLED IT! While he ultimately decided he wanted to pursue a career in maintenance 1st then retrain into Special Warfare I AM STILL AMAZED AT HOW WELL HE DID!!! Daniel, the opportunities in the Air Force are endless. With your drive & determination you will excel no matter what path you take. KEEP BEING GREAT! 💪🏾

TACTICAL AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE

The Air Force employs hundreds of tactical aircraft to complete our missions, including fighters, strike-fighters and attack planes. It’s the responsibility of Tactical Aircraft Maintenance specialists to ensure that every component of these high-performance aircraft is maintained to the most exacting standards. These experts ensure that the aircraft in their care are ready to fly at a moment’s notice so that pilots can safely and effectively complete their mission.

AIRFIELD MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

The success of every mission depends as much on our airfields as it does our planes. Airfield Management maintains safe, secure, and efficient airfield environments to ensure aircraft can take off or land with a moment’s notice. These Airmen are responsible for conducting routine safety inspections, coordinating maintenance, overseeing airport pavements, maintaining visual navigational aids and facilities, enforcing airfield design criteria, and other airfield operations procedures.

SIGNALS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST

As technology becomes more sophisticated, so does the way we have to gather and interpret information. Utilizing sophisticated equipment, Signals Intelligence Analysts extract, analyze and identify foreign activity and communication that come from electromagnetic emissions. These analysts relay their findings by producing combat, strategic and tactical intelligence reports and notify the appropriate commanders of unusual activity or critical situations so we can respond with the necessary speed, force and precision.

I received a call from Sirus’ mother & brother who were BOTH eager to get him into an office to sit down w/ a USAF RIC to discuss how we could change his life. I guess it’s safe to say he liked what he heard. 🙌🏾 Sirus not only knocked his ASVAB out of the park, but slayed his physical as well. LOW OBSERVABLE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURAL MAINTENANCE

Advances in technology allow us to carry out aircraft missions without being detected, but it takes a skilled human touch to ensure the technology is properly in place. It’s the job of Low Observable Aircraft Structural Maintenance specialists to design, fabricate and modify unique metals and bonded materials that create the stealth effect. From first application to repairing structural damage, these experts make sure aircraft can continually complete their missions completely undetected.
