Davenport - The Iowa Department of Transportation is looking for a detail-oriented, dependable, and motivated individual to join our District 6 team as an Auditor Construction Technician!If you enjoy a mix of office work and time out on the roadway, ensuring projects meet specifications and regulations, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
LOCATION: Davenport Resident Construction Engineer Office
SHIFT: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. including some evenings and weekend work; must be able to travel and may be required to stay away from home overnight during assignments; must be available to work up to 16 consecutive hours. The position is subject to be on call 24 hours a day during emergency and/or weather conditions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
▶️Prepare construction projects for final audits by reviewing contract documents, material certifications, quantities, and pay estimates.
▶️Track and maintain detailed digital audit records and report progress to supervisors.
▶️Review contractor payrolls for wage and benefits compliance; verify DBE and Truck Roster requirements; conduct jobsite interviews.
