One of the most rewarding parts of what I do is hearing from candidates months after they've started a new role and learning how their lives have changed for the better.
Today, a candidate I placed over six months ago shared this with me:
"I feel supported, valued, and as long as I want it and I'm willing to work for it, there's opportunity here. My kids are happier with mom home all the time, and I have the freedom to grow in my career. I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate you believing in me and finding the perfect opportunity for myself and my family."
Reading those words reminded me why I love recruiting.
It's easy for people to think recruiting is about resumes, interviews, and job offers. For me, it's always been about people. It's about helping someone find the right environment where they can thrive professionally while also creating a better life for themselves and their family.
It also made me reflect on my own journey.
I am incredibly grateful to Chris Fusaro for taking a chance on me, believing in me, and giving me the opportunity to develop both personally and professionally. His leadership has allowed me to grow my skills, refine my craft, and become the recruiter I am today. More importantly, he has created an environment where I can be my authentic self and do my best work.
Do I still have challenging days? Absolutely. But even on my toughest days, I genuinely look forward to coming to work. I wake up excited about what I do, the people I get to help, and the relationships I get to build.
For that, I am grateful.
Thank you to the candidates, clients, colleagues, and mentors who trust me to be part of their journey. It is a responsibility I never take lightly.
