Life Learning Center delivers The Foundations for a Better Life™ 12-week program that focuses on addressing five domains of life: physical, financial, spiritual, emotional, and relational. These on-going barriers often derive from the addiction epidemic, increased incarceration, and childhood poverty rates rising in our local tri-state area. These factors directly hinder an individual’s ability to generate an income for their family, leaving citizens “at-risk” hopeless and unemployable.

Life Learning Center's largest fundraiser of the year is a little over a month away. Join us on Saturday, October 10th for our Light the Way gala, honoring Jeanne Schroer!

Let's come together and honor all of the men and women who have fought to get their lives back through completion of our Foundations for a Better Life program. Their resilience in times of struggle should be celebrated. They've put in the work to create a brighter future for themselves and their families. Together we can work towards a brighter future for all. We look forward to seeing you there!

Every day at Life Learning Center, we work toward building a stronger, more supportive community. Behind our mission are real people, stories of transformation, and moments that remind us why this work matters so deeply.

On Thursday, September 10th, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, we are hosting our Re-Entry Rockin' Recovery Event. This event is a true celebration of new beginnings across all aspects of life, focusing on connection with an expansive network of local resource vendors, employment opportunities, the chance to meet people who manage an expungement clinic, and so many other resources.

When Dawn first came to Life Learning Center she was skeptical about what the program could actually do for her.

Within the Foundations for a Better Life™ curriculum, Dawn found value in focusing on her resume, accessing resources, and connecting with people who were facing many of the same challenges she was.

She especially appreciated that Life Learning Center provides these valuable programs free to residents in the community. Life Learning Center can help you find a job, explore career paths, and discover work you’re truly passionate about, she noted.

Her experience is a reminder that sometimes, getting started is the hardest part and having the right support can make all the difference.

Life Learning Center was pleased to welcome House Appropriations and Revenue Chair, Jason Petrie. Representative Petrie spent the day in Northern Kentucky visiting organizations at the forefront of their fields.

We are grateful for the opportunity to have a seat at the table and to share our perspective on issues that impact our businesses and our work in supporting successful reentry.

Angela came to Life Learning Center feeling skeptical about what the experience would be like. By the end, she described it as “an amazing experience.”

Through Life Learning Center, she found support, connected with people who understood what she was going through, and built a community of sober friends. She also took advantage of resources like Dress for Success, fitness, transportation, and food assistance.

Most importantly, she learned that asking for help isn’t a weakness—it’s a step toward building a stronger future.

“I am able to build myself up better because I have several people in my life who help me maintain a certain way of living.”

We’re so proud to see how far Benny has come since graduating in 2022! He says going through the LLC Foundations for a Better Life program was the best decision he ever made, and that he enjoyed the teachers and people the most.

After spending several months in Fairhaven, he’s now working toward his goal of buying a car and building a brighter future.

We’re grateful to be part of his journey. As he says, “They just keep giving.” We are honored to continue to give our time and resources to people who are willing to show up for themselves every day!
