Congratulations to Payton_nagel as of today he’s one the newest members of the Indiana Army National Guard. He enlisted as a 12R interior Electrician receiving an enlistment bonus and a job trade! No until graduation he’ll train monthly preparing himself for basic training.

What is it I think about serving the National Guard in MY town? Well this isn’t a place I’m passing through for a couple years. This is the place I’m raising my 3 boys, little league baseball at FHCY fields, and supporting our schools. Yes I’m the recruiter for S Harrison Schools. This is also a project that I’ve been blessed to be a part of, volunteering time and equipment. I’m proud and honored to get to be a part of such a great school system! Weekend volunteering fun for the kids to have outdoor learning spaces and adventures for our sons, daughters, brothers and sisters.

So many ask what can the Guard do for them? Well meet Lauren! Like many she dual serves Lafayette PD and the National Guard! Prior to being a Police Officer she was trained as a 31B Military Police (MP) with the National Guard and even deploying to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba as an MP. I had the honor of serving beside her there! Congratulations on an awesome start to your civilian career!

You’re going to find them coming to Pal, New Sal, Ramsey, Crandall, Depauw and more. So when you see one let me know. Maybe someone can tell me where this one is? Harrison Co, this is my home too!
