Independent Associate - Susan Marie Almquist, J.D. After practicing law as a second-generation attorney for 12 years myself, I began having children and wanted more flexible work. LegalShield is a noble cause.

It provides individuals, families, businesses, employees and commercial drivers, access to top lawyers for a low monthly instead of a high hourly rate. Neither myself, nor any individual lawyer or firm, can compete with that. Hence, I got appointed by LegalShield to help connect people with these services. As such, for the past 14 years, I've helped give people access to their rights and helped recruit individuals who may also want to do the same (part-time or growing into full-time, as I did).

In keeping with the phrase that, truth is stranger than fiction… Earlier this month, a lobster diver in Cape Cod dove to about 45 feet when he was suddenly scooped into the mouth of a whale! Michael Packard was in complete darkness for about 30 seconds and thought it might be his demise until the whale spat him out! Experts say any number of things could’ve made the turn of events not go as favorably as it did. Most certainly, accidents happen that are stranger than anything we can imagine, and it underscores the reason why it’s so important to take care of our estate ideally before they do!
