The board services Nueces, San Patricio, Kleberg, Aransas, Kenedy, Bee, Refugio, Live Oak, McMullen, Brooks, Duval, and Jim Wells counties. Workforce Solutions Coastal Bend is proud to recognize our Director of Strategic Planning & Partnerships, Christina Gonzalez, for representing WFSCB as a panelist at the Future of the Region South Texas (FORST) Conference at Laredo College recently!

Christina joined education and workforce leaders from across the region to discuss strengthening career pathways, connecting education with industry needs, and building partnerships that create lasting opportunities.

When we work together, we build a stronger workforce and a stronger South Texas!

Today, Workforce Solutions Coastal Bend was proud to join our community in recognizing Manufacturing Day 2026, a day that gives students, parents, educators and community leaders an opportunity to see the reality of modern manufacturing and the many career pathways this growing industry has to offer.

Experiences like today give students a firsthand look at the innovation, technology and skilled professionals behind the products and industries that help move our region forward. Even more importantly, they help young people connect what they are learning today with the careers waiting for them tomorrow.

A BIG thank you to the Corpus Christi Regional Economic Development Corporation for bringing this event together and creating an opportunity for our students to explore, ask questions and experience manufacturing beyond the classroom.

We also extend our appreciation to the many employers, educators and community partners who showed up to support our students and share their time and expertise. It takes strong partnerships across the Coastal Bend to help build the workforce of tomorrow, and we are proud to be part of that work.
