Please keep Lori Cheadle Klein and her family in your prayers 🤍
Tomorrow, January 28, 2026, Lori will be undergoing neurosurgery for two brain tumors. She is a dear friend to so many of us—especially within the & community—and she and her family need our prayers, love, and strength now more than ever.
This has been an incredibly overwhelming and emotional time. Lori will be in the hospital for some time and will require ongoing care during her recovery.
We kindly ask for your understanding that Lori will not be able to respond to calls, texts, or emails, and that her sons, Cameron and Chase, will also be deeply overwhelmed. Please hold them close in your hearts while giving them the space they need.
Your prayers, positive thoughts, and quiet support mean more than words can express. Please surround the Klein family with love, faith, and God’s healing presence.

There’s a major shift happening in the medical device and healthcare hiring market — and most people aren’t talking about it.

After 29 years as a medical recruiter, I’ve never seen a hiring pattern quite like this:

1️⃣ Companies are reducing senior-level compensation costs.

Many experienced, high-earning reps and managers are being replaced with lower-cost Associate Sales Representatives and junior talent.

2️⃣ The new “ideal candidate” looks very different.

Instead of 10–15 years of experience, companies are prioritizing:

2–3 years of successful B2B sales

High activity

Awards and stack rankings

Coachability and hunger

These are candidates who can be trained, molded, and promoted quickly — while costing 40–60% less than seasoned reps.

3️⃣ Medical companies are building “farm teams.”

Just like athletics:
develop young talent → promote the best → move on the rest.

And there are good reasons for this shift:

Hospital budgets tightened after COVID

Margins dropped due to commoditization

Supply chain issues pressured profitability

Investors pushed for lean operating models

Senior reps command higher base + bonus structures

This isn’t a theory — it’s the hiring trend dominating 2024–2025.

And it’s changing how companies build their sales and clinical teams.

Here’s why this matters:

If you're a hiring manager, HR leader, or founder in the medical/healthcare space…

You need a recruiter who understands the new talent landscape — not just resumes.

I’ve run my recruiting firm for 29 years, placing:

Sales & Marketing

Sales Management

Product & Marketing Management

R&D

Engineers

Physician Assistants & RN Clinical Specialists

Directors, VP, C-Suite, CEO, CFO roles

…and I’ve watched firsthand how talent expectations have transformed.

Today, I’m helping companies build pipelines of high-potential associate reps who grow into your future leaders — and doing it with the same honesty, integrity, and industry knowledge that have defined my career.

If your team is adapting to this trend… let’s talk.

Whether you’re:

Filling associate sales roles

Rebuilding a sales team

Replacing a senior rep

Or planning next-year headcount

I can help you find the right talent for where the industry is heading — not where it used to be.

If you’re a hiring manager or leader, I’d love to hear your perspective:

👉 Are you seeing this trend inside your organization?
👉 How is it impacting the way you build your team?

While it's true that medical sales is a highly competitive field and the workload is demanding, if you're up to the challenge, it's possible to begin building your career and making a name for yourself almost immediately. It's important to understand, though, that unlike other fields, medical sales is a journey.
Sales Opportunities in Medical Device Industry entry level $1st year $110,000-$120,000+(However, it is not unusual for seasoned, and extraordinarily successful medical device sales reps to make $200,000-$500,000+ depending on what industry they choose) usually companies offer: all expenses, car, cell, laptop, gas, healthcare, the Works!
If you are trying to enter the medical Device field; The industry looks for looking for stability; no patterns of job jumping. Usually requires 2 years at same Fortune 500 Company with Documentable Proof of Top 10% of Sales Force with Awards...etc.
4-year College Graduate Degree A MUST HAVE! (Degrees in the Sciences preferred but not required).
Collegiate Athletes, Military Backgrounds, or Exceptional Leadership experience (collegiate) is a HUGE PLUS! GPA 3.2 Min
