That dream began with preserving the historic Astor-built property that became Empire Farm 1830 in Copake, NY — now an accredited working farm campus in partnership with SUNY 💚 15 years later at work and working

🌟 Through Roman’s extraordinary generosity, Eric’s unwavering commitment, meticulous historic construction practices, and countless volunteer hours, we laid the foundation for something lasting: community, commerce, sustainability, and true succession planning.

🚜 What started as preservation, became purpose In perpetuity. What started as restoration became FarmOn! Foundation.

15 Years of Impact in 15 Days ♥️ FarmOn!

🌟 HOOT! Community Celebrations to Meet your farmer! Eat their food. Prepared by a world-class chef. Five miles from your plate.

💚 FarmOn! Foundation Annual Benefit Dinner, affectionately known as the FarmOn! HOOT! began more than 15 years ago as the Friends of the Farmer “Hootenanny” a joyful, fire-lit gathering designed to reconnect people to the land, the farmer, and the food on their plate

🍒 Founded .e.williams Hosted by Chefs in open fields playing with fire, the HOOT! brings together family farmers, celebrity chefs, and community to share a farm-fresh meal prepared on site using play-with-fire techniques, bold flavors, and ingredients harvested just miles away.

💰This is not a gala. This is farm-to-field fundraising.

🙌Over the years — from humble beginnings at Copake Country Club to gatherings at Empire Farm 1830 — more than 500 Friends of the Farmer have come together annually to celebrate food, raise awareness, and fund youth agricultural education, workforce training, and succession planning to help restore farming in America.

🍽️ Chefs of The HOOT! made unforgettable by chefs who believe that great food starts with great farmers — chefs who source with intention and cook to benefit the communities they feed.
