π Downtown Conover Candy Crawl Brings Free Trick-or-Treating Saturday
CONOVER, N.C. (10/12/2026 3:00 PM) Downtown Conover shops will hand out free candy Saturday, Oct. 17, from 2 to 5 p.m., and more than a dozen businesses and vendors have already signed on to the Downtown Conover Candy Crawl.
The event is free and open to all ages, and costumes are encouraged. Trick-or-treating runs through shops and businesses across downtown, stretching all the way to Perfect Workout, according to the event page.
Look for the Candy Crawl poster in shop windows. The poster says that's how you'll know it's a candy stop.

EVEXΓA is setting up a fall photo op at its moon mural with hay bales and pumpkins. In the parking lot it shares with Shoppes On Main, Lemonanigans will serve lemonades, limeades and sodas, and Carolina Trading Company will bring collectible brick mini figures.
The Daily Dish is providing fresh-popped popcorn, handed out at Perfect Workout.
Conover K-9 Grooming is holding a doggy costume contest, with a treat for every dog and grooming packages for the top three costumes.
SchwarzbΓ€r Ale Haus holds its second annual Jewlz-toberfest the same day, with keg rolling, stein holding, pumpkin painting and more, plus an Oktoberfest menu from the Chez Moi Food Truck.
