At today's monthly Tri County Economic Development District's Board of Directors meeting, 's fearless leader of 9 years, Jeff Koffel, was honored for his service to Northeast Washington before he retires at the end of the month. Steve Bruchman, Field Representative for Congressman Michael Baumgartner, presented Jeff with a Certificate of Congressional Recognition and letter from the Congressman, along with a Congressional Challenge Coin, to recognize not only Jeff's work for TEDD and Northeast Washington, but also his decades of service in the U.S. Marine Corps. Then it was Pend Oreille County Commissioner Robert Rosencrantz's turn to thank Jeff on behalf of the Board and TEDD staff, and presented him with a plaque outlining his years of service to TEDD.

We here at TEDD World Headquarters will miss Jeff's patient leadership, guidance and mentorship and the positive energy he brought to the office everyday. But we know he'll have an AWESOME retirement! Congratulations, Jeff! 🎉

It’s that time again! Time for TEDD’s free small business workshops, with multiple sessions held in Colville and Republic. Folks from any county are welcome to attend any session. These are relaxed, casual workshops, no formality necessary! Just an inviting space where folks can ask questions, throw around ideas, and learn new strategies for how to grow your business! Registration is appreciated, as it helps us plan. But we still gladly accept walk-ins! So come as you are! Light snacks will be provided. The 2026 Wildfire Emergency Loan Program provides emergency financing to assist businesses and organizations in Washington State impacted by wildfires this year within the 15 counties that Tri County Economic Development District supports with the Rural Opportunities Loan Fund. Funds are intended to support recovery, stabilization, and continuation of operations while other recovery resources are pursued. Applications are now being accepted.
