Basic Functions and Scope of Responsibilities:
1. Establishes recruiting requirements by reviewing organization plans and objectives.
2. Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements, contacting potential centers, and participating in career fairs.
3. Screens and interviews job applicants to select those meeting client criteria.
4. Reviews employment applications and evaluates work history, education and training, job skills, compensation needs, and other qualifications of applicants to determine match.
5. Records additional knowledge, skills, abilities, interests, test results, and other data pertinent to selection and referral of applicants into Resource system.
6. Reviews job orders and matches applicants with job requirements, utilizing manual or computerized file search.
7. Informs applicants of job duties and responsibilities, compensation and benefits, work schedules and working conditions, company policies, promotional opportunities, and other related information. Refers selected applicants to person placing job order, according to policy of organization.
8. Keeps records of applicants not selected for employment and the reasons for non-selection.
9. Performs reference and background checks on all applicants via established processes.
10. May evaluate selection and placement techniques by conducting research or follow-up activities and conferring with management and supervisory personnel.
11. May specialize in interviewing and referring certain types of personnel, such as professional, technical, managerial, clerical, and other types of skilled or unskilled workers.
12. Contacts clients in writing, in person, or by telephone to solicit orders for job vacancies.
13. Keeps accurate record information about job openings on job order forms to describe duties, hiring requirements, and related data.
14. Accomplishes warehouse objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
15. Perform other duties as requested.
