Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
West Point, Mississippi
We are currently seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join a growing organization in the West Point, MS area. This executive-level position will play a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity, stability, and long-term growth of the company.
Objectives of the Role
• Maintain the financial integrity and stability of the organization
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities
• Ensure compliance with all applicable financial, tax, and regulatory requirements
• Provide accurate and timely financial insight to executive leadership
• Lead and support the finance and accounting team
Core Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Strategy
• Serve as a key financial advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team
• Support business strategy through financial analysis, scenario planning, and risk assessment
• Evaluate revenue, expenses, and operational performance to identify efficiencies and cost-control opportunities
Financial Planning, Analysis & Reporting
• Lead Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), including annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial planning
• Ensure accurate and timely financial statements and reports
• Prepare and present financial reports to leadership, lenders, and stakeholders
Cash, Capital & Risk Management
• Manage cash flow, investments, debt, insurance, and capital expenditures
• Maintain relationships with financial institutions and lenders
• Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks
Operations & Compliance
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, internal controls, and financial systems
• Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and best practices
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial and tax requirements
Team & Cross-Functional Leadership
• Lead, mentor, and manage finance and accounting personnel
• Oversee financial IT systems and data integrity
• Coordinate HR-related financial functions with internal staff and external providers
Required Qualifications
• Five or more years of executive-level financial leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance
• Proven leadership skills with high integrity and accountability
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience
• CPA certification preferred
