My name is Paige Hunt, and I am the College Relations Representative for Brooksource. Our company is a dynamic IT Consulting firm specializing in providing consultants to our clients for cutting edge technical projects across the country. We are one of the fastest growing companies in the Midwest and soon to be the United States. We are looking for graduating students and recent alumni that are interested in an entrepreneurial career to work in our 16, soon to be 18, rapidly growing markets (including St. Louis) as Corporate Recruiters and Sales Executives. Though we are an information technology based company, it is not necessary to have a technical degree. We will teach you all that you need to know to be successful.

Position: Production Training Specialist-Grade 11

Summary:
Responsible for training all production employees in a classroom setting and assist with training in the production environment. Track and document employees progress to the operator qualification check sheets and matrix. Develop training material and implement as needed.

Educational Experience:
Three (3) to five (5) years of production experience in various departments. High School degree or equivalent preferred but not required.

Essential Functions:
• Train the Trainer
• Assist Human Resources with new hire orientation.
• Develop training curriculum, such as classroom, visual aids, assessments and hands on and implement as required
• Develop and maintain training outlines for all areas
• Train production staff on blueprint reading and measurement tools in a classroom setting and follow up in the production environment.
• Assists with hands-on training in the production environment.
• Responsible for 90 day training
• Swiftview
• Smart Bins
• Control Plans
• Routings
• Scrap Reporting
• Scale Training
• 3 pan system (Site 77)
• Assist employees with problems concerning how to perform specific tasks related to their position
• Make suggestions on improvements in for the work environment
• Work with each department to review operator check sheets and keep current.
• Monthly follow up with employees under 90 days of employment and be able to evaluate progress to competencies in current position and communicate status on qualification.
• Assist/Communicate with supervisors on progress and status of each employee’s qualification.
• Update qualification matrix
• Work with all departments to ensure annual training requirements are being met.
• Understand and know requirements for ISO9001
• Understand and know requirements for ISO14001
• Understand and know requirements for AS9100
• Understand the IFS functions that are utilized in the production environment.
• Train and utilize Wonder share
• Coordinate and schedule all training requirements.
• Measure the effectiveness of training.
• Other duties as assigned.

Hello, all! I hope your summers are going well! We just received some information from BNSF Railways about an entry-level HR position for anyone who has recently graduated! This is a really awesome company that has been around for a long, long time and it would be a great place to start a career! They have reached out to us in the past and they love the referrals they get through SHRM and Mizzou. Here is some more info:

Our entry level salary ranges from $51,000 - $52,000 annually with opportunity for advancement. We are looking for candidates who would be willing to relocate now or in the future for career progression. We currently have an opening at our headquarters in Fort Worth, TX.

Specific responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:
· Developing sourcing strategies to find candidates for hard to fill positions
· Creating on-line postings, sourcing qualified candidates, screening applicants, communicating position requirements, conducting pre-employment testing and interviews

Hello SHRMies! Hopefully everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend :)
The semester is wrapping up, which means it is time to elect a new executive board! Elections will take place at this Thursday's meeting at 6:30pm in room 40 Cornell Hall.
After the meeting, SHRM will head to Shakespeare's Pizza to celebrate the semester and our new executives! See you there!
