We are seeking a motivated, experienced Industrial Steel Painter. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality paint coatings to large steel structures, ensuring durability.
Duties
Prepare steel surfaces by cleaning, sanding, grinding using hand tools and power tools such as sanders, grinders, and airless paint sprayers
Mix and apply industrial-grade paint coatings with precision, ensuring even coverage and adherence according to schematics and technical specifications
Use blueprint reading skills to interpret schematics, technical drawings, and surface preparation instructions for each project
Conduct quality inspections throughout the process to verify color consistency, coating thickness, and overall finish quality using color theory knowledge
Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling waste materials and ensuring tools are stored safely after use.
Experience
Proven experience in industrial painting or construction painting on large-scale projects involving steel structures.
Experience using a zinc mixing pot for applying zinc-rich paints.
Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, airless paint spraying equipment such as Graco Bulldog.
Strong understanding of schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings related to construction painting projects
Experience with surface preparation techniques such as sandblasting or grinding for optimal coating adhesion
Additional skills in residential or commercial painting, plastering, masonry, renovation, or handyman tasks are considered valuable assets
This is a full time, permanent position.
Starting pay for Painter is $20.00 depending on skills/ experience with excellent benefits after 90 days.
Current work hours: 10 hours Monday-Thursday 6:00a.m.- 4:30p.m. Must be available to work Fridays for O/T as needed.
TN Drug Free workplace. Pre-employment and random drug screening required.

Responsibilities
