Our story of national growth began in 1927. Coldspring took a bold step to grow its monument business beyond Minnesota by opening a Chicago sales office, right in the heart of the nation’s monument industry. That same year, Coldspring hired its first National Sales Manager who was focused on building connections with dealers and communities across the country.

At that time Chicago was one of the key hubs for the monument trade, making it the perfect place for Coldspring to expand its reach.

We are proud of the people and vision that helped shape our history, and grateful for the customers and partners who have been part of the journey along the way.

During National Safety Month, we recognize the teams across our quarries, fabrication facilities, and project sites who make safety a daily priority. Through training, teamwork, and a strong safety culture, our goal is simple: making sure everyone goes home safe at the end of the day.

Across Coldspring, our teams continue working toward that goal by improving emergency response plans, strengthening driver safety awareness, enhancing data and analytics to better identify risks, and encouraging “Good Catch” reporting so hazards can be addressed before incidents occur.

When the visitor welcome center was renovated during the 1980s, Rockville® Beige granite was used for plaza paving, the Avenue of Flags columns, and the exterior of the Visitor’s and Interpretive Center. Its durability and timeless appearance help the site welcome millions of visitors each year.
