As a part of Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities and its non-profit affiliate SAW, Inc., Cleveland Crops is a working Urban Agricultural entity that exists to provide employment and training for people with disabilities in the areas of farming, selling fresh produce and creating value-added whol

esome food products. Cleveland Crops Food Innovation Center we are beginning to develop our own healthy value-added products, work with local food entrepreneurs, farmers and other entities to process and co-packi to grown the local food economy. In 2014 we are farming on 60 acres in Cuyahoga County at ten different locations and operating Cleveland Crops Food Innovation Center at Stanard Farm, combining to employ 65 workers this summer. We operate a 15,000 sq.ft greenhouse year-round and will have ten high tunnel/hoop house in production by the fall of 2014. As our Food Innovation Center at Stanard is fully operational this spring, we are making plans to add a second Food Innovation Center of 6,000 sq.ft., with potential for significant expansion, on the westside of Cuyahoga County with development underway in the second half of 2014.
