I want to give a huge shout out and congratulate my soldier PFC Ochoa, Evelin. PFC Ochoa enlisted May of 2025 for college benefits and adventure. She enlisted as an 11B infantryman and is the FIRST female to enlist as a Non Prior Service infantryman into the TN Army National Guard. She graduated Infantry School in February 2026 passing and exceeding all infantry standards and events to graduate. She was also recognized by State Command Sergeant Major Young for her accomplishments. Cannot express how proud I am on her accomplishments!! 💪🫡.

Enlistment Alert!!! Congratulations to Cadet Battles on his enlistment into the TN Army National Guard. He enlisted as a 09R SMP Cadet, Simultaneous Membership Program. The guard will be paying 100% of his tuition and fees at Austin Peay. On his drill weekends he will be shadowing officers at a unit to get on the job training all while serving part time and going to school full time. At completion of his bachelors degree he will commission as a 2nd Lieutenant. Congratulations and welcome to the team!! I look forward to serving with you!
