Essential Job Duties

· Job requires being reliable, responsible, dependable and fulfilling obligations.

· Observes mechanical operation in the Mill to determine efficiency and to detect problems

· Gives full support to the mill to include daily inspections, walk thru, documenting/reporting issues found and provide a quick immediate response to all mill maintenance needs in the event of any unexpected downtime

· Wear a plant radio at all times to allow proper communication for a quick response to any unplanned downtime event.

· Rebuild and sustain critical mill-based parts such as pinions, gearboxes, cylinders both pneumatic and hydraulic, rollers, bearings, shafts, and other misc. parts as needed

· Very close communication with the warehouse to ensure all rebuild parts such as seals, rings, cups, bearings, packing, pins, gears and any and all other parts needed.

· Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance

· Inspect or test damaged machine parts, mark defective areas, advise supervisors of repair needs

· Reassemble machines after the completion of repair and or maintenance work

· Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes or hoists

· Install, replace or change machine parts and attachments, according to productions specifications

Qualifications and Experience

· Related on-the-job experience, Vocational School or Associate’s Degree a strong plus

· Attention to detail

· Knowledge and ability to use hand and power tools

· Knowledgeable in proper alignment of bearings and other precision components

· Welding a strong plus

· Basic electrical abilities 110- 220- and 480-volt systems.

· Knowledgeable in Hydraulic and pneumatic operating systems and components

· Lock out/Tag out

Overall Responsibilities:

This position will perform the function of the second person on a field crew. All required safety and field operations training will be supplied.
Performs outdoor fieldwork in all weather conditions, within streets, easements, and off road.
Will be required to perform confined space entry into utility and sewer manholes.
Must pass company physical and be physically capable to lifting heavy (50 pounds) objects
Responsible for operating and maintaining issued equipment and vehicles associated with the above product lines
Maintain accurate, legible organized records in accordance with Operations Quality Work Instructions
Adhere to all safety procedures and policies/procedures.

Job description

All hourly sanitation positions require extended periods of working in temperatures as low as 40 degrees Fahrenheit and as high as 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
Sanitation employees will handle corrosive chemicals on a daily basis.
Sanitation employees are required to wear steel toed rubber boots, hairnet, beard guard, hearing protection, Yellow rain suit, rubber gloves, sleeves, and helmet. Goggles and face shields are required whenever chemicals are being handled.
Sanitation positions start at different times and different lines on a daily basis. Weekends would be mandatory if scheduled.
Schedules are posted every day for the next day’s work in the employee hallway.
Sanitation positions receive one 15-minute break and one 30-minute meal break paid and will be taken when the supervisor deems it appropriate.
Must be able to obtain prompt and regular job attendance.

Hours: Monday–Friday

2nd Shift: 2pm - 10pm.
3rd Shift: 10pm - 6am.

Some overtime is required, as all trucks and orders need completed on a nightly basis.

-1+ years of experience working on heavy-duty trucks and equipment required.

General job duties of a Mechanic will include but are not limited to:
-Perform preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on company vehicles and equipment.
-Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment, vehicles, and machinery.
-Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues.
-Accurately record time, parts, and inspection checklists.
-Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment and vehicles.
-Disassemble, inspects, and replace worn or broken parts. Fit and adjust new or repaired parts.
-Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, clutches, electrical and pneumatic systems, gearboxes, hydraulics, cooling systems, exhaust, brakes, suspensions, lights, etc. on a variety of yard equipment, heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and other equipment.
-Safely operates gauges, forklifts, shunt trucks, torches, grinders, and various hand and power tools.
-Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis.

Position: Machine Operator / Shift Grinder
Location: Fairfield, Ohio.
Shifts/Pay: 1st Shift $16.50 start ($2-$4 raise after 90)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background.
Must be Authorized to work in US.
Must be able to perform the assigned tasks for periods of 8 hours on the concrete floor, some of which may include but are not limited to standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
Must have the ability to use pinch grip and do detailed hand/finger work with the use of both dominate and non-dominate arms and hands.
Must be able to work on and around machinery and chemicals.
Inspection - Inspecting Products on Production Line for Defects (proper seals, and tears, etc.). Positioning product per specific requirement.
Package - Standing at the conveyor, sorting products for defects, placing products in specific cartons and/or boxes, stacking boxed products on pallets.
Working in various areas where temperatures range from 30-90 degrees.
Must be comfortable working in Hot and Cold environments.
