Today was an unforgettable day for the GCJ team as we joined forces to volunteer at the Greater Chicago Food Depository! It's truly inspiring to see how much we can accomplish when we work together towards a common goal.

We are so proud of our amazing event staff who worked to make Wine and Design at the Merchandise Mart a success last week! Our team did an outstanding job of providing exceptional customer service to all of the guests who attended the event.

From check-in to distributing ID badges and conference bags, providing directional support, and scanning guest credentials, our event staff made sure everything ran smoothly.

GCJ Hospitality Fun Fact Fridays- Today we’ll highlight the notable Civil Rights leader, Ida B. Wells.
•
Ida B, Wells was an African-American wife, mother, educator and early leader in the Civil Rights Movement, having been freed by the Emancipation Proclamation during the Civil War at the age of 16. This makes her one of the most famous black women during her time. In 1910, she started the Negro Fellowship League, which helped find housing, jobs and provided a social and political outlet for black people in Chicago. Wells dedicated her life combating prejudice and fighting for African- American equality until March 25th, 1931 when she died.
