After a 3-month sabbatical this past summer, John is happy to be back at GreenRoots (and we are thrilled to have him back FINALLY).
John spent time with family in Salamanca, Spain, where he explored the riverfront trails, walkways, and urban gardens along the Río Tormes. He was also fortunate to be in Spain as "La Roja" won the World Cup! 🏆⚽ (Sorry, Messi). He explored bookstores in medieval towns, walked part of the Camino de Santiago at Finisterre, and, of course, ate incredible food and drank fantastic w**e!
John's incredibly thankful for GreenRoots' investment in its staff through the sabbatical opportunity, and he returned in time for our community organizing training week, which helped him get back on board and ready to keep fighting for Environmental Justice in East Boston and Chelsea.
