Last May 9, our Clinical Educator, Christine Villapando proudly represented us at the Philippine Nurses Association of Metropolitan, DC Embassy Picnic! 💙

In celebration of Nurses Week, Filipino nurses came together for a fun day of music, outdoor activities, and camaraderie. We were also honored to be one of the luncheon sponsors and be part of this meaningful celebration.

Heads up, international nurses! 📢

Effective May 12, 2026, the U.S. government updated the English proficiency requirements for foreign healthcare workers to strengthen communication standards for professionals working in the U.S.

Who will this affect?
These changes apply to exams taken on or after May 12, 2026. Several minimum score requirements have increased, particularly for speaking and communication-related competencies.

Here’s a quick overview of the updates:
• PTE, OET, and MET — affected
• IELTS — remains unchanged
• TOEIC — no longer accepted for nurses and other bachelor-level healthcare workers entering the U.S.

We are actively monitoring these updates and are here to help you understand the next steps and prepare successfully. 💙

In the meantime:
1️⃣ Take advantage of our free ESL coaching program
2️⃣ Review your current test plans
3️⃣ Connect with your advisor or support team if needed

Check out the updated testing requirements below.
