Job Description:

Large-scale logistics repair and engineering company that services the world’s largest telecommunications and cable providers.

Forklift Operator:
The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating material handling equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting product. The Forklift Operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the forklift and may also be required to perform additional duties in addition to his or her own.
• Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to appropriate locations
• Stacks and stores product in designated areas using a forklift, push-pull or other powered equipment.
• Pulls and prepares products for shipment
• Ensures that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped
• Performs picking duties in an efficient manner which meets customer service standards
• Moves product from staging and/or storage areas into trailers
• Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods
• Maintains appropriate records and reports to guarantee inventory control and security
• Assists in physical inventories.
• Ensures proper stock rotation.
• Conducts cycle counts as requested within “WMS”.

Essential Skills and Experience:
• At least 1-year experience forklift experience and/or using warehouse distribution equipment
• Willingness to become forklift certified for site
• Attention to detail
• Excellent customer service skills
• Must have Excel knowledge plus general computer knowledge
• Must be able to work in varying facility conditions.

Responsible for Materials Management function including planning, procurement, storage, control and distribution of materials and products to meet Company objectives and customer requirements. Responsible for direction and administration of Production Control, Inventory Control, Shipping and Receiving, Customer Contact and Material Stores.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and manage the receiving, shipping, production and inventory control operations.
• Review warehouse procedures for efficiency
• Train, motivate, and coach staff on departmental procedures and expectations
• Prepare and administer daily P&L and PPL
• Oversee distribution of supplies throughout the Supply Chain
• Maintaining inventory accuracy
• Continuously monitoring, maintaining and adjusting min/max keep-levels and order levels
• 100% On time order delivery and receipts

Duties:
Responsible for Operating rewind and finishing equipment to inspect and slit and finish labels to Customer specifications. Assists Press Operators to produce quality labels and product according to order specifications.

II. Basic Function/Summary

* Reads order specifications, sets up rewind and finishing equipment to finish product and pack for
shipment to customers.
• Works with Operators and Quality to ensure that production has manufactured quality labels.
• Ensure core tags and rewind position are as require by order.
• Ensure proper splice.
• Apply knowledge to check orders and ensure that all press work is up to Company and customer quality specifications.
• Packs product according to specifications.
• Assist operators with make ready and wash ups.
• Communicates effectively with all manufacturing personnel.
• Works overtime as needed.
• Performs other related duties as directed.
• Attend monthly safety meeting and observe all safety policies and procedures.
• Must be trained to successfully run both Rotoflex and Roto-Control , maintaining good quality.

• Assists Press Operator during make readies and during roll changes.

• Maintains supply inventory levels at presses, checks shift start and shift end to assure that all needed supplies are readily available and stored properly following 5S guidelines.

• Cleans press area as needed to assure areas are neat and orderly.

• Additional duties as directed by the Press Assistant or Press Operator.

• Assists in other press groups or support areas as directed.

Education and/or Experience:

High School diploma of GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education an experience.

• Use cylindrical grinder to restore anilox rolls back to OEM specification
• Conduct required routine maintenance on equipment.
• Ensure product meets quality standards before and after your process (i.e. taper, out of round, TIR).
• Report any maintenance or product issues to supervisor.
• Maintain neat and orderly work area.
• Run machine efficiently.
• Use overhead crane, or by hand, to load and unload product.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures and Standard Practice Instructions.
• Other duties when necessary, as specified by production supervisor/management.
