On this day, we honor one of our own.

Colonel Robert Joseph Modrzejewski, USMC (ret). On July 18, 1966, as part of Operation Hasting in the Republic of Vietnam, then-Captain Modrzejewski led his company of Marines to repel a numerically superior force. Through relentless leadership and spirit, and despite his own injuries, he and his Marines emerged victorious.

Semper Fidelis.
