The AI and jobs conversation often focuses on white-collar work, but what about the factory floor? 🛠️

While repetitive assembly has been increasingly automated for decades, highly skilled manufacturing roles are in high demand, because robots still can’t replicate human situational judgment. 🧠

From catching a subtle material warp to hearing a machine vibration before a sensor trips, the skilled trades require a human touch. For job seekers, that means they represent one of the fastest paths to high-paying and stable careers. For employers, it means building training pipelines is becoming more and more critical. 🎯

👉 Read our new article here:

Discover the manufacturing jobs that can't be automated, why employers can't fill them, and what the path into a skilled trades career actually looks like.

The accounting industry is facing a people shortage. A decade of declining enrollment that has yet to fully recover, an aging workforce heading for the exit, and 124,000+ job openings projected every year through 2034 mean it’s currently a candidate’s market.

Far from being "boring and easy to automate," modern accounting jobs increasingly offer strong starting salaries, faster advancement, and high-level advisory work, making this an increasingly interesting field to be in.

In this week's article, we broke down exactly what's driving the shortage, where the biggest windows of opportunity are right now, and what hiring managers are prioritizing. 👇

There's an accountant shortage, and for job seekers, that's good news. Explore what's driving the 2026 accounting talent crisis, where the biggest opportunities are, and what employers are actually looking for right now.

Congratulations to Martha Grignon on 10 years with redShift Recruiting! 🎉

One of the things we’re most grateful for at redShift is the team we’ve built over the years, and this week we celebrated a very special milestone for one of the people who has helped shape that team for nearly the entire journey.

Over the past decade, Martha has become a huge part of our company’s growth and success. She’s passionate about recruiting, deeply committed to her clients and candidates, and someone who genuinely values building long-term relationships. She’s also the type of person who tells it like it is, works incredibly hard, and always fights to do the right thing for the people she works with.

As our longest-tenured team member outside of ownership, Martha has played an important role in helping shape the culture and reputation of redShift over the years, and we’re incredibly thankful for everything she’s contributed.

Congratulations, Martha, and thank you for 10 great years! 👏⭐

We’re currently working through an ATS platform transition, and it’s been a good reminder that system implementations are never as straightforward as they look during the planning phase. 📋

Even with team members who’ve used the platform before, there are still things you don’t fully appreciate until you start getting into the process. Data doesn’t clean itself up. Workflows don’t magically rebuild. And there’s a big difference between being trained on a new system and being comfortable enough to move quickly in it.

The hardest part usually isn’t the software itself. It’s that the people who know the business best are often balancing implementation work alongside their regular responsibilities.

We wrote this article around some of the challenges and lessons that we've been seeing, including where implementation projects tend to slow down, what companies underestimate, and why extra support during a transition can make a much bigger difference than people expect. 👇

System implementations take more time and resources than most teams plan for. Here's what to expect, what catches companies off guard, and how to prepare.

We’ve been talking a lot about AI over the last few months, but there’s still a gap between what’s possible and what actually works in practice.

That’s why we’re excited to have a couple of people from our team heading to Boston later this month for the Robotics Summit & Expo. 🤖📍

What’s interesting about this event is that it’s less about discussing theory and more about seeing what’s actually being put to use.

A lot of the sessions and demos are focused on real deployment questions, such as:
- What works in an actual warehouse or production environment? 🏭
- Where does automation add value? ⚙️
- How do people and these systems actually work together? 👷‍♂️
- What’s real, and what’s still hype?

That’s the part we pay attention to as a staffing team, because once companies start testing these systems in real environments, the hiring conversation shifts quickly, for both employers and job seekers.

The IT help desk is changing fast. 🖥️

AI is handling password resets, ticket routing, and standard troubleshooting, which means headcount needs are shrinking.

But that's not the whole story. Because those same AI systems break, misroute, and drift. And someone has to configure them, catch them when they make mistakes, and fix them when they fail. That role is growing fast, and few people are trained for it yet. 📈

If you're in IT or trying to break in, this gap could be your opportunity.

We broke down what the new IT support role actually looks like, why the gap exists, and what you should start learning to position yourself for it. 👇

AI is transforming IT support — but not in the way most people expect. Here's what's actually being automated, what the new IT support role looks like, and how to position yourself for it.

Most people who ask if AI is going to take their job focus on the wrong question. 🤔

The more useful one is, "Which parts of your job require genuine human judgment, and which parts just follow a pattern that a machine can eventually learn?"

The answer looks different for everyone. Even professionals with the same job title may be in very different positions depending on where they work and how their role is structured.

In our new article, we discuss how to figure out where you actually stand and, more importantly, what to do about it. 🗺️

Read it here:

AI is changing what your job requires. Here's how to figure out which parts of your work are at risk and what to do about it.

AI is changing work faster than most people expected. 📰

But the question worth asking isn't whether AI will affect your job (because it probably will). The better question is which parts of your work are genuinely hard to automate, and how can you build your skills to better fill those gaps?

Some tasks—no matter how complex they appear—follow rules that a machine can eventually learn. Others require judgment, relationships, accountability, and human presence that no artificial intelligence can substitute for. 🔍

The workers who come out ahead will be the ones who understood the difference and made intentional choices about where to focus. 💡

Our new article looks at what AI actually excels at, which roles are most and least exposed, and what to do right now regardless of your field or career stage.

AI is changing work fast, but for every dollar spent on software, six still go to people. Here's what that means for your career and why human work isn't going away.
