Job description:
Incumbent, under minimal supervision by the Special Projects Manager, is responsible to schedule Special Projects rework requests from Sales groups, HQ, RMA’s from customer’s, and others as required. The position is responsible for planning to meet the request dates from the organization that requested the project.
The planner will communicate to the Sales Order Management team to ensure alignment to customer delivery dates.
The planner functions as the point of contact for the Special Project team, with respect to scheduled completion dates.
Background/Experience:
• Associates Degree, Bachelor’s Degree preferred, in Logistics, Industrial Engineering or business management or similar course of study from a college or university, or equivalent work experience. Work experience in mobile manufacturing/planning in lieu of degree to exceed 4 years.
• Should have a minimum of 1~2 years’ experience in inventory control, production planning, scheduling, hi-tech products or parts purchasing, in support of manufacturing or assembly operations.
• Demonstrated abilities in telecommunications or similar high tech products, planning, researching and ordering utilizing a SAP or similar business enterprise system for scheduling and inventory control processes.
• Read write and verbal communications skills to prepare and present plans and information to Production Management, Quality Department personnel, Warehouse personnel, any other relevant supporting departments.
• Experience using Microsoft PC software including extensive use of Excel spreadsheets, Word, Power Point.
• Experience with SAP or similar business systems and/or sales order management software applications.
