Derek is a certified personal trainer with 18 years of fitness coaching experience and 4 years of experience teaching K–8 physical education. He recently completed specialized training in tailoring fitness programs for autistic individuals.
Per Derek, "I want autistic children to have a positive and productive experience with exercise because they generally have a hard time in PE/sports and tend to avoid physical activity. But with one-on-one coaching specific to each child, they can reap all the benefits."
