Overview:
The Director of Marketing position is a dynamic role to lead a small marketing department and continue to develop and improve the marketing function and the department. The Director of Marketing will be responsible for developing marketing strategies, budgets and plans, coordinating and executing marketing projects, supporting the sales team with lead generation efforts and Affiliate services with communication strategies for retention.
We need are a strategic leader who has developed proactive marketing campaigns that drive customer acquisition and retention and contribute to company growth and are also comfortable doing the day-to-day work that keeps the marketing engines running. Responsibilities:
• Drive brand and value proposition awareness to drive inbound leads and user engagement by building and executing creative yet effective marketing campaigns that scale.
• Drive engagement with prospects and affiliates via website, digital, email, social and traditional channels with content and creative to meet company goals.
• Collaborate with and support the sales team with sales collateral, communications support, trade show preparation and ex*****on.
• Support the Affiliate Services team with marketing communications to encourage Affiliate retention.
• Responsible for development and oversight of all marketing materials including website, collateral, trade show materials, videos, email communications, etc.
• Provide oversight, direction and ex*****on of a cohesive brand strategy that communicates the value proposition effectively through messaging, visual style for all audiences and stakeholders, including employees.
• Manage and support external events including trade show and affiliate events.
• Create and manage marketing plans, budgets, and deadlines.
• Manage and lead a small team by coaching and developing existing members and closing talent gaps where needed with internal or external resources.
• Identify, onboard, and manage key agency, service provider and partner relationships as needed. Manage partnerships to budget and timelines.
• Lead PR efforts and media relations and serve as the point of contact for media or PR firms that IPU may work with.
Qualifications
• 10+ years of relevant experience with B2B Marketing
• Bachelor’s Degree required and master’s degree preferred
• Proven experience developing, executing and measuring integrated marketing campaigns and initiatives
• Would be great if HubSpot experience
• Comfortable functioning in both leadership and contributor capacities to ensure maximum effectiveness and momentum
• Strategic thinker with a keen attention to detail
• Exceptional writing skills and interpersonal skills with a collaborative style to clearly articulate ideas, frame challenges, highlight opportunities and offer solutions within all levels of the organization
• Extremely proactive, ambitious, and organized with exceptional attention to detail
• Experience managing an internal team and external resources including agencies
• Marketing experience in a fragmented industry preferred
