Santa Paula Police Memorial - santapaulapolicememorial Santa Paula Police Memorial Annual 5K Run/Walk Event. These officers are Marshall Henry Norman in 1913 and Officer James Barmore in 1953.

Through the nearly 90-year history of the Santa Paula Police Department we have lost two officers in the line-of-duty. In 2011, community members of Santa Paula and police department personnel erected a memorial oblisk to honor those police officers that have fallen as well as commemorate all Santa Paula Police Officers that have served the community. Tragically, in 2012, we lost two active member

s of our police department in off-duty incidents. On February 15, 2012 Reserve Officer David Bartlett was killed in an off-duty traffic accident. On July 22, 2012 Officer Kimberley Hemminger was also killed in an off-duty accident. While these officers did not die in the line-of-duty, they leave a void in our police department and they are deeply missed by their families and colleagues. The Santa Paula Reserve Officers formed a foundation to help the families of these officers. The Santa Paula Police Memorial 5k Run/Walk is the first such event. All net proceeds from the race will go to benefit the families of Officer Kimberly Hemminger and Reserve Officer Dave Bartlett. Your participation in this event is greatly appreciated and we hope you have a wonderful vist to Santa Paula.

Limoneira is matching employee contributions up to $2500 for the Jimmy Fogatga Fundraiser.

Police Sergeant Jimmy Fogata suffered a severe heart attack on January 16th. Jimmy is a dedicated 30 year veteran of the SPPD. We greatly value all of our police and fire personnel. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jimmy and his family.

This great man is a very close friend and pillar of the Santa Paula Community. Sergeant Jimmy Fogata is a cop's cop. Big, bold, smart and tough as nails. He's a 30- year veteran, revered by the citizens we serve and personifies the term "Community Cop". This last year he's had to deal tremendous health issues. To cap it off, he had a heart attack on Monday. And while he'd never ask for it, he now needs our help. We are going to hold a tri-tip dinner fundraiser for him on Friday, 1/27 (details below). The fire department is cooking and the cops are serving. Great food for a great case. Please consider attending and making a contribution.

The event will be on Friday January 27th, at the Santa Paula community center (530 W. Main St) from 4PM to 7PM. We'll be serving a tri-tip/chicken dinner where you can get food to go or eat inside the community center. The cost of the dinner will be a donation of $20.00 or more. Our hope is that the entire community of Santa Paula will show up in mass to support Jimmy and his family.

If you would like to make a donation, you can make a check to Santa Paula Police Officers Association (SPPOA). You can either drop the check off to Chief Steve McLean at the police department or you can send the check to Santa Paula Police Department, 214 S. 10th Street, Santa Paula, CA 93060. If you have any questions, you can contact the Chief directly at 805-525-4474 ext 122. We thank you in advance for your donations
