Back to the sweet smell of Alaska! ❤️
In the past 2 days we have driven to St. Louis, flown to Seattle then Anchorage, visited Hatcher Pass, driven to Soldotna to stay at my dear friend Danise Petticrew’s amazing cabin, went to Seward for the Mount Marathon race and 4th of July celebration, and took a quick drive through Kenai. I may sleep 100 hours tonight but I am so very grateful to have this experience with my family! Happy 4th of July, everyone! Moose count 3, seal 1, and eagles TMTC. http://MooseLanding.net

We had an incredible weekend in Lexington and Lousville- Merit Weekend at UK (my son has a schedule of classes for college- here we go folks), Governor’s Cup at the Galt House watching the MHS Academic team compete in quick recall, visiting with a friend and seeing her new house, dinner with Bryan Cross and Audrey Cross at the Cheesecake Factory, exploring Falls of the Ohio National Wildlife Conservation Area and Cave Hill Cemetery, and an evening hike at the Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest to see some giants and a pretty sunset. Can’t wait for Luke to come home this evening and to get Denali and Chance from the vet. Love my family! ❤️

So far, a lovely little weekend. Trip to the library to get new books and Farmer’s Basket for seeds for my garden. Made meatloaf and roasted Brussels sprouts last night, watched a show with the guys, vacuumed & slept well. Today- cleaned another section of kitchen tile grout, had lunch with my mom and Luke, read some of my book, and had a nap. Tonight… Batman! 🍿
