14th Brooklyn Company B The 14th Brooklyn New York State Militia Company B is a group of Civil War reenactors based in Central New Jersey.

Company B is a new company of the "Red Legged Devils" of the 14th Brooklyn New York State Militia, based in Central New Jersey. The mission of Company B is to preserve the history of the 14th and educate the public about the life of the common soldier of the American Civil War through a combination of living history demonstrations and annual battle reenactments. We study the military drill manuals

of the era as well as practice period maneuvers and battle tactics. Such maneuvers and tactics include skirmishing; manual of arms, bayonett drill and battalion movements.

Company B is actively recruiting new members, “fresh fish” and veterans alike. No experience necessary, just a willingness to learn and an interest in history. All training will be provided.
