Job Title: Onsite Coordinator
Location: Nanticoke, Ontario, Canada
Job Type: 12+Months Contract / Full Time
Job Description:
Carry out coordination tasks which include;
Single point of contact (SPOC) for coordination of LTTS-India Team with all stakeholders on Client side (Project Management / Engineering / Procurement /Operations) – primarily for Instrumentation issues, but in general for all Disciplines.
Review and do PE stamping on applicable documents.
Quick and independent resolution of minor design queries related to Instrumentation & Controls.
Obtaining inputs from Client as well as from field as required. Expediting vendor inputs.
Vendor management, Bid management, Technical Bid alignment
Key face of the consultant during proposal stage, scoping study and during Project ex*****on
Efforts estimation and proposal defence during proposal stage
Schedule and cost tracking
Ability to handle multiple assignments / Projects.
Verify P&ID vis-a-vis actual status at site (As-built) and prepare red-lining.
For Turn around (MOC) jobs, propose the most cost and time effective solution – including demolition and tie-in philosophy.
Verify feasibility of deliverables/ solutions provided by LTTS-India Team vis-à-vis actual as-built situation at site.
In-person LTTS representation in joint design reviews conducted remotely. Participation in independent Client reviews and coordination of resolution with LTTS-India Team.
Initiate meetings/discussions with relevant stakeholders (Client, Vendor, etc.) to expedite resolution of design issues.
Design suit to site access/maintenance measures for instruments & valves identified during commissioning/operation/maintenance phase.
Qualifications / Experience:
Degree in Instrumentation Engineering (BE/ME/BTech/MTech/B.S./M.S.) from a reputed institute.
Qualified Professional Engineer (PE) for the state/province of Ontario, Canada. Should be certified/licensed to do PE stamping.
10-15 years of experience in Instrumentation & Control system design. At least 5 years of experience of Downstream projects in Oil and Gas Sector viz. refineries, petrochemical plants.
Hands on Experience in preparation / review / approval of following design deliverables;
Design Basis, Instrumentation & Control system Specifications, Instrument Index and I/O List, Functional loop schematics, Shutdown narratives and Logic Diagrams, Inst.
Datasheets, Installation drawings and Hook-ups, Level Sketch, Inst. Location Lay outs, Cable Tray lay outs, Control room lay outs, Cable and Junction Box Schedule, Wiring and Interconnection drawings, Loop Wiring Diagram, MTO, Construction/Erection Tender etc..
Hands on Experience on following design Calculations; Inst. Sizing – Control Valve Sizing (InstruCalc, CONVAL), Flow meter sizing, Safety valve sizing, Air and power consumption calculations, Intrinsic safety validation calculation, Thermowell Wake freq. calculations.
Experience in preparation / review / approval of following procurement deliverables; Material Requisition, TBE, Purchase Requisition and Vendor Drawing Review and approvals for Field Instrumentation and Control Systems.
Control System: Experience with Control Systems – DCS, ESD (SIS), PLCS, package control systems, Fire & Gas systems (FGS). Control System Specification, Architecture Design, Communication Protocols, FF, Profibus, Modbus etc.
FAT / SAT of control systems – DCS, SIS, FGS and Package control systems.
Experience with control systems from reputed vendors like Honeywell / Invensys / Emerson is preferred
Inter-Disciplinary Activities – P&ID review and update, 3-D Model review, IDR/IDC, Participation in HAZOP / SIL Reviews.
Familiarity of relevant codes and standards for Oil and Gas Industry.
Good understanding of Project lifecycle, Piping detail engineering, timelines and milestones.
Good understanding of Turn Around (MOC), Outages, brown field and revamp projects.
Good working knowledge of engineering on 3D platform (PDMS, SP3D, etc.).
Familiar with Knowledge of AWP - Advanced Work packaging.
Experience in site postings during construction phase is an added advantage.
Strong proficiency in
Preparing sketches by hand.
Preparing mark-ups on site photographs/snapshots/screenshots in MS Paint (or equivalent software)
Commonly used Microsoft Office software viz. Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point.
SPI experience is preferred.
Good English communication skills – verbal and written.
