We say this a lot in recruiting: “It’s a partnership.”
But what does that actually look like?
It doesn't mean:
—Ghosting someone after an interview.
— Shoving a role at a candidate they clearly don’t want.
— Vanishing the second a placement is made.
This is what it looks like:
✔️ Transparency on both sides
✔️ Respect for someone’s time, goals, and boundaries
✔️ Honest feedback, even when it’s tough
✔️ Staying in touch
The best relationships I’ve had with candidates weren’t always the ones that led to a placement.
They were the ones built on trust.
