Greetings!

My name is Stephanie Taylor and I am the writer and producer of the Student Film Snow. Snow is about a middle age mother who struggles to deal with a dying stepdaughter in hospice care whose last wish is to see the snow because of a memory of happier times.

You are cordially invited to casting day to audition for one or more of the following roles:

ALICE FRANKLIN – LEAD: A strong-willed, country woman in her early- to mid-40’s, overwhelmed by her stepdaughter’s march towards death, world begins to unravel at the seems. Normally she is in total control, but the passing of the love of her life, Aurora’s father, has left her feeling powerless. Everything she loves is slipping away from her and she has no idea how to handle death that causes her mood to be unpredictable. If left alone, whose knows what she is capable of?

AURORA FRANKLIN – LEAD: A 10-year-old child dying of cancer living in a hospice care facility in Florida. She represents everything good in the world - loving, caring, and kind. The most beautiful quality about her is patience. She sincerely believes that she will see the snowfall in Florida before she dies.

EDITH MILLER – LEAD: A strict, calculating woman in her late-50’s to early 60’s who is concerned about one person, herself. In her pastime, she enjoys ci******es and nagging her daughter, Alice, to the point of popping pills. She has no emotional attachment to her step-granddaughter, Aurora. She is only along for the ride when her daughter comes into town to visit Aurora.

NURSE (YOUNGER) – SUPPORTING: A shy, frazzled lady in her mid- to late-20s just trying to muster up the courage to do her job.

DIRECTOR (OLDER) – SUPPORTING: A strict but fair boss in his or her early- to mid-50s who rules his staff with an iron fist.

Call times are the following:

Individual appointments are not available.

12PM to 1PM – Leading men, age range 19-40
1PM to 2PM – Leading and character men, age range 40 and up
2PM to 3PM – Leading women, age range 19-40
3PM to 4PM – Leading and character women, age range 40 and up
4PM to 5PM – Young men and women, age range 8-18

AUDITIONS will be held on January 15, 2017 from 2pm - 4pm at the Nashville Film Institute. No pay, but actors will be able to use final product on your demo reel.

Riley, a young, scrappy computer hacker is on the run as she realizes that she is being pursued by the government for the theft of classified information. She manages to hide away long enough to leak the files on the internet, all the while being chased by the officials.

ROLES-

Riley- Female- 18-25 - Edgy look, a bit rough around the edges.

Agent 1- Male- 30-50 - clean-shaven, short hair

Agent 2- Male or Female - 30-50 - well-groomed, mature

A young college couple breaks up and we see the difference in how each deals with it. Jessica begins working out and studying more for college. Austin does drugs and drinks leading to his death.

Project 4 - Beans

Dan wants his morning coffee but it would seem that the universe is against him, after several attempts, he must resort to extremes. In the end, his morning coffee is reduced to a handful of half crushed beans in a cup of milk.

A mid twenties man is frantic and paranoid as he washes blood from his hands. The atmosphere surrounding him shows signs that a dispute had ensued. After frantically pacing and contemplating his next move. He reveals a body in the bathroom down his hallway.

Female, 20 - 25.

Project 7 - Giggles

The story is about a young boy in his bed at night. He hears a menacing laugh coming from somewhere in his room. He eventually realizes the laugh is coming from a clown toy. The boy becomes more and more frightened as the clown toy continues to keep him awake with laughter. Eventually the boy decides to do something about it.

ROLE-

Male age 8-12 years of age

Project 8 -The Final Note

A grandmother wants to teach her granddaughter to play a song on the piano but the granddaughter refuses. When the grandmother falls deathly ill, the granddaughter feels remorse and attempts to play the song her grandmother wanted to teach her.
