We are saddened to hear of the passing of Wayne Jacobson. He was a big part of the community of Stony Creek from Memorial Day to the Blessing of the Fleet to the Stony Creek Pageant and anything that was happening in Stony Creek he was there. He was a huge supporter of the Corps. During the Seaside Hall Restoration Project in the 2000s, him and the Stony Creek Church were able to let us use the Church for our pasta dinners and also as a temporary rehearsal location. He was truly a "creeker" as many would say. Our heartfelt condolences to Wayne's family and the Stony Creek Congregational Church .

Over the past two weeks it has been whirlwind of emotions for us. First, we would like to thank everyone for the outpouring support towards us and the Beman and Choronzy families during this difficult time.

We would also like to thank everyone who came out for our concert in Stony Creek last Sunday afternoon. Your very generous donations and support helps us continue our 140 year tradition of playing music. It turned out to be a really great day!

For Fife and Drum Corps like us to continue, we have to support the next generation of fifers and drummers. Every year we are able to sponsor a few juniors to attend the Company of Fifers and Drummers Junior Fife and Drum Camp . This year, there were 75 kids that participated from 19 different states!!!
It's an incredible opportunity for the kids to make new friends and learn more music!
This year we sponsored Liam and Avery Towers. The Camp performed on Friday night at the Deep River Ancient Muster tattoo.

The Deep River Ancient Muster was exactly what we needed, a great time to celebrate with our fellow Fife and Drum Corps friends and families. This year was the National Muster in Deep River, so it was extra special. We were able to march the parade and perform onstand before the rain came.

This year we hosted the Col. John Chester Fife and Drum Corps as tradition the last few years as they are children of members of the Creek.

We also hosted the The United States Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps. We were presented with a special gift as we continue our friendship and comradarie.
Here's some photos from this past weekend. Photos in no particular order courtesy of Kim Tyler Photography, Bob McDougall, Tim Eng, Janet Avery and Bill Towers

Enjoy!

Its with a heavy heart that The Creek acknowledges the passing of former member/bass drummer Josh Berman. Josh was an active member in the late 80s to the early 2000s marching along side his brothers Patrick Choronzy and Brian Choronzy, along with the late Ron Choronzy. Please keep the Choronzy/Berman families in your thoughts and prayers.
