THE YEAR ISN'T OVER YET!

Can you believe we're already in the final quarter of 2026?

Before we make big plans for 2027, let's take a little time to get our house in order.

Here are five things worth doing before December 31:

1. Review your year. Celebrate what you've accomplished and acknowledge what you've learned.

2. Check your finances. Review spending, savings, bills, and year-end obligations.

3. Finish what matters. Choose a few important goals instead of trying to accomplish everything.

4. Reconnect with your people.
Make time for the relationships that matter.

5. Prepare for 2027. Think about what you want to change, improve, or pursue.

Here's one more thing: Give yourself permission to enjoy the rest of the year!

Have you ever worked so hard toward something, only to watch it unfold completely differently than you expected?

Plans change. Doors close. Delays happen. And sometimes, all we can do is wonder why.

But worrying won't change yesterday or give us control over tomorrow.

Do what you can. Keep the faith. And when you've done your best, give yourself permission to rest.

WHEN DID LIFE GET SO BUSY?

Work. Appointments. Responsibilities. Deadlines. Family obligations. We keep moving because there is always something else that needs to be done. Meanwhile, life keeps moving too.

The children are growing up. Our parents are getting older. Friends we used to see all the time become people we keep saying we need to call. Cousins who once spent every weekend together may realize they haven't been in the same room in years, and somehow, “We need to get together” keeps becoming something we'll do later.

Who said we need a special occasion? You don't need a birthday. You don't need an anniversary. You don't need a holiday on the calendar. Sometimes, “I miss you” is reason enough to gather.

Have you noticed how much the event industry has changed?

There was a time when planning an event meant calling the family. Auntie decorated. Uncle had the truck. Your cousin helped serve. Somebody knew somebody who made cakes. And when the party ended, everybody stayed to clean up.

Today, that same event may involve a planner, decorator, caterer, rental company, photographer, production team, professional event staff, and an onsite manager.

So what changed?

We began understanding that an event isn't simply something you put together; it is something people experience, and behind every beautiful event is an enormous amount of work that guests may never see.

Professional event staffing is an important part of that experience. It is about placing trustworthy, prepared professionals into environments where clients entrust them with their guests, their property, their brand, and sometimes one of the most important days of their lives.

Trends will change, décor will change, technology will change. But people will continue to gather. As long as people gather, someone will have to serve them.
