I met PVT Derrick Champ around 15 months ago in Homer Louisiana. It took us 7 months to get him sworn in and now here we are. Today Champ was sent off to my old unit at the 527th Engineer Battalion and will be working underneath one of my previous soldiers. I know he’s gonna do great things, he never gives up, he never quits, and he’s gonna keep growing till he can’t anymore. Congratulations buddy.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a high school football game like this one. Parkway (48) vs. Airline (42) an all-out war on the same field I played on almost 20 years ago. Gave me goosebumps.

We’ve been working day and night for 3 months to get Tristen in. Today he finally enlisted as a 19D and will receive a 20K bonus as well as a full ride to any college in the state of Louisiana. His future is looking bright!
