Job Title: Office Manager
Reports To: Lead Pastor / Church Administrator
Position Type: Full-Time
Location: Baptist Church, Midlothian, VA

Position Summary:
The Office Manager plays a key role in supporting the mission and ministry of the Church by ensuring the efficient and effective day-to-day operation of the church office. This person serves as the administrative hub for church communications, scheduling, records, and general office support. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, proficient in office administration.

Key Responsibilities:
Administrative & Office Management:
• Oversee the daily operations of the church office
• Maintain office supplies and equipment
• Serve as the primary point of contact for phone, email, and in-person inquiries
• Maintain church calendar and coordinate building use/scheduling
• Assist pastoral staff and ministry leaders with administrative needs
Communication:
• Prepare and distribute weekly bulletins, newsletters, and announcements
• Update church website and social media accounts
• Maintain clear and professional communication with congregation and leadership
Records & Documentation:
• Maintain membership and attendance records
• Manage church database and mailing lists
• File and store documents, including meeting minutes, reports, and legal records
• Assist with preparation of annual reports
Financial Support
• Assist with basic bookkeeping or work with financial staff/volunteers
• Process invoices, donations, and reimbursement forms
• Coordinate with church treasurer/accountant on reporting and audits
Volunteer & Event Coordination:
• Support volunteer scheduling and ministry event planning
• Help coordinate church-wide events, weddings, funerals, and facility rentals

Qualifications:
• Previous experience in office administration (church or non-profit setting preferred)
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and church management software (e.g., Planning Center, Breeze, etc.)
• Able to handle confidential information with integrity
• Self-motivated, flexible, and able to multitask

Work Schedule & Environment:
• Typical schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
• Some evening or weekend hours may be required for events

Pay Rate $20.00
