Starting a business is way more that just registering your LLC.

You actually need to know your state laws around your business entity.

Literally got a new client that cant get his business back in good standing with the state because he has failed to file the additional required state paperwork. Sometimes even if the business doesnt make money you will still be required to stay in complaince‼️

As we embark on the month of October, we also enter into the 4th Quarter of this year. I'll be taking the month to key in on my goals for this quarter and take time to start outlining Q1 plan for 2025.

Listen if there was ever a time to execute, the time is now! It's not too late to achieve those goals. Let's put in that work and get it done....

Remember it's not how you start the race but all in how you finish!

We have less than 100 days until Tax Season Starts.....

Here a few reminders to start preparing:

1. Start getting your documents organized. Locate social security cards, birth certificates, unexpired ID or license.

2. Start gathering receipts and documents for deductions and credits you plan to claim. (like donations to charity or tithes paid to your church, medical expenses, and education cost)

3. Remember that all income earn must be report. (included gig work, side hustles, independent contractor work)

4. Review your W-4. Make sure you're having the correct taxes withheld from your check. (if you pay nothing, you get nothing)!

SMC would like to say Thank You to everyone that supported us this tax season and everyone that purchase software from us.

We will continue to process returns for clients that had extension completed. We look forward to seeing you all again next year.
