Controller

We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations and ensure compliance within an insurance-focused accounting environment. This role requires strong leadership, advanced accounting expertise, and sound judgment in managing financial matters.

Key Responsibilities
Lead financial reporting, accounting operations, and statutory compliance
Apply Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP) and IRS regulations for insurance operations
Analyze financial data to support actuarial and management decisions
Supervise, mentor, and develop finance and accounting staff
Ensure accuracy, organization, and integrity of financial records

Qualifications
Strong knowledge of accounting practices, financial reporting, and accounting systems
Extensive experience with Statutory Accounting Principles and insurance-related regulations
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
Proven leadership and organizational abilities
Ability to exercise discretion, initiative, and independent judgment

Minimum Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related field
Insurance industry and actuarial experience preferred
Experience with FIS Insurance Accounting Suite (IAS) a plus
